Kuro Workshop Tote
The Tote was designed to accentuate the phenomenal English Oak Bark leather and create an incredible smooth bag with continuous edges. From the front to the sides and to the base, the leather keeps wrapping around seamlessly.
After cutting the large single piece of leather, beveling, burnishing along with other intensive processes the leather is nurtured into shape forming the distinguished wrapped sides and base. Next comes the huge undertaking of saddle stitching the long seams. All the work is slowly undertaken and executed 100% by hand over many hours.
The bag features a pocket inside for dropping in a phone or keys and internal volume to accommodate computers, phones, and many everyday essentials.
J&FJ Bakers is the finest bridle leather there is. This OAK BARK leather is tanned in the same traditional way for 600 years using Oak bark and water. Using all natural, locally, and sustainably sourced materials each piece of leather takes over a year to produce and many hours of labour intensive work.
